History of IGNOU BAG Urdu Course.
The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) Bachelor of Arts (General) in Urdu (BAG Urdu) programme was launched in 2019 under the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS). The CBCS is a flexible system that allows students to choose their courses from a wide range of disciplines, which is designed to provide students with a broad-based education in Urdu language and literature, as well as in other humanities and social sciences disciplines.
The IGNOU BAG Urdu programme is a three-year program, with a minimum duration of three years and a maximum duration of six years. The program consists of 132 credits, which are divided into five categories: Core Courses, Discipline Specific Electives, Ability Enhancement Compulsory Courses, Skill Enhancement Courses, and Generic Electives.
