CUET Normalization Marks 2024
Normalization is the process of converting values measured on different scales into a common scale. It is primarily used to assess the performance of all applicants using similar exam settings. Normalization is a method that has been used for years to compare the scores of candidates over multiple papers, and it is similar to methods used in India’s other big educational selection tests. In order to ensure that candidates are neither disadvantaged nor benefited by the exam difficulty level, a “CUET Normalization procedure based on Percentile Score” will be used. Percentile scores are calculated as follows:
100 X Number of candidates in the ‘Session’ with a raw score equal to or lower than the candidate
Note:-
- The raw score is the score that is obtained in the exam.
- The marks obtained are transformed into a scale ranging from 100 to 0 for each session of examinees.
- This Percentile of the Total cannot be an average or sum of the Percentiles of the Individuals. Percentile scores and percentages of marks earned are not the same.
- To avoid the bunching effect and reduce ties, the Percentile Scores will be calculated up to seven decimal places.
CUET Exam Centers 2024
In accordance with the previous years, the Cities where the CUET UG 2024 will be conducted are expected to be the same. While applying for the exam, candidates have to select any four cities of their choice. Choice of Centre Cities will be limited to the State of Permanent Address or State of Present Address only.
