The JKPSC has set eligibility criteria the candidates need to meet in order to apply for the recruitment. The JKPSC KAS Eligibility Criteria will be as follows.
- Candidates applying for the recruitment must be between the ages of 21 to 32 years.
- The above-mentioned age must be met as of the last date of the advertisement.
- Candidates must hold a Bachelors’s Degree in any discipline.
- The candidate must be a permanent resident of the J&K State and an Indian National.

JKPSC KAS Selection Process 2024
The JKPSC KAS will consist of three stages in the selection process. The candidates will have to clear all the stages of the selection process in order to be selected for the post. The stages of the selection process will be as follows.
Stage-I – Preliminary Exam: The prelims is the first stage. The Exam consists of two papers of objective type (multiple-choice questions) & carries 400 marks in all. This examination is meant to serve as a screening test only. The exam will be conducted for a total of 2 hours.
Stage-II – Main Exam: The Mains Exam is the second stage. The written test consists of question papers of descriptive type, out of which one paper is of qualifying nature only, from the subjects.
Stage-III – Interview: The interview stage is a crucial part of the selection process where candidates are assessed on various parameters such as their knowledge, skills, and suitability for the role. During the interview, candidates should be prepared to discuss their educational background, work experience, and technical expertise relevant to the position.
