The Staff Selection Commission announces vacancies for the post of Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police, CAPFs and Assistant Sub Inspector in CISF through the Central Police Organization or SSC CPO recruitment process every year. As per the latest notification, SSC CPO Recruitment 2025 is aiming to fill 4187 vacancies of Sub-Inspector and Assistant Sub-Inspector. Online applications were invited from eligible candidates between 4th March to 28th March, 2025. To apply for SSC CPO 2025, candidates must have a graduation degree from any recognized university. Selection of candidates will be done through a two-part Computer Based Examination consisting of questions from various subjects like General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension.

SSC CPO Exam Pattern 2025
The SSC CPO Exam Pattern comprises two papers – Paper 1 and Paper 2, each of which will be conducted for 200 marks. SSC CPO Qualification
The applicants must have the following educational qualifications, as specified under the SSC CPO SI eligibility, to be considered for selection to this post
- Educational Qualification for all posts is a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent.
- The programs in Engineering, Medicine, Dental, Nursing, Pharmacy, Architecture, and Physiotherapy, etc are not permitted to be offered under Open and Distance Learning mode.
- Candidates who have not acquired the educational qualification will not be eligible and need not apply.
- For the post of Sub Inspector in Delhi Police (only) – Male candidates must possess a valid Driving License for LMV (Motorcycle and Car) as on the date fixed for Physical Endurance and Standard Tests. Otherwise, they will not be allowed to undergo Physical Endurance and Standard Tests.

The candidates will initially have to face the Paper I written examination. The candidates who will clear this paper will be tested for their physical fitness. Candidates preparing for the SSC CPO Exam would want to know the SSC CPO salary in hand. The students who manage to qualify the SSC CPO Exam can earn a starting salary of Rs. 35,400. The Gross salary will be Rs. 47,496. The In hand salary calculate as Gross salary minus the Deductions. Therefore, the in hand salary will be Rs 41,231. This can go as high as Rs. 1,12,000. House Rent Allowance (HRA)
House rent allowance in SSC depends on the class of the city you are living in. HRA shall not be less than Rs. 5400/- pm, Rs. 3600/- pm and Rs.1800/- pm at X, Y & Z class cities respectively.

- @ 16% of Basic Pay for Y category of cities
- @ 8% of Basic Pay for Z category of cities
Dearness Allowance (DA)
The Dearness Allowance is an allowance that every Government employee gets and is calculated as a proportion of the basic salary. It basically is a cost of living adjustment allowance and is currently 12% of Basic Pay under the 7th Pay Commission.
Transport Allowance (TA)
The rate of transport allowance per month various according to the place you are living in as mentioned below:
- Employees posted in the cities: Rs.3600+DA thereon
- Employees posted at all other places: Rs.1800+DA thereon
Diet allowance/Ration Money
Diet Allowance or Ration money is provided to the CPO employees to cater to and fulfil their diet needs. The Diet allowance of Rs 101.5 is provided to its employees. Ration money of Rs.97.85 per head per day is admissible to SI in CISF.

Children Education Allowance/Hostel subsidy
- CEA @ Rs.2250/- per month (Total Rs.27000/- per annum) for children studying class Nursery to 12th class. Whenever DA increases by 50%, CEA shall increase by 25%. This applies to all posts.
- Hostel subsidy @ Rs.6750/- per month (Total Rs.81000/- per annum) for children studying in hostel. Whenever DA increases by 50%, CEA shall increase by 25%.
Uniform Allowance
Employees are often awarded a dress allowance to their employees to make themselves updated with the uniform. Rs.10,000/- (Annual) Constable to Inspector in July of every year.
