TNPSC Group 2 Selection Process 2025 (Expected)
The Combined Civil Services Examination – II (Group II and IIA Services) comprises of two successive stages (i) Common Preliminary Examination (ii) Separate Main examination for Group II and Group IIA Services, except for the post of Forester in Forest Department and TAFCORN for which selection will be made in three successive stages (i) Common Preliminary Examination (ii) Main Examination and (iii) Endurance Test.
Stage 1 – Preliminary Exam
The Preliminary Examination will serve as a screening test only and the marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination will be declared qualified for admission to the Main Examination & will not be counted for determining their final order of merit. The Prelims Exam will be of 300 Marks for both Group II and Group IIA Services.
Stage 2 – Mains Exam
The Main Examination for Group II Services will consist of two papers, out of which Paper I will be qualifying in nature. TNPSC Group 2 Syllabus 2025 (Expected)
The TNPSC Group 2 Syllabus 2025 for the Prelims exam will include General Studies (200 questions for 200 marks) and General Tamil (100 questions for 100 marks). The exam duration is 3 hours.
